Directions to Camp Collier, Gardner, MA (Camp Collier Road)

From east, west or south, take Route 2 to Exit 23, Pearson Road, in Gardner. If coming from the East, take the first exit off the rotary and go under the railroad bridge. If coming from the west, go ½ way around the rotary and go under the railroad bridge. You should see a Dunkin Donuts on your left.
Go right at first light onto Elm Street and follow to the next rotary. Watch for blue hospital signs. Go ½ way around this rotary and turn onto Green Street. You’ll soon pass Heywood Hospital on your left and 2 large wind turbines and Mt. Wachusett Community College on your right.
At the end of the green in front of the college, look for a large wooden sign on the right with yellow lettering saying “Camp Collier”. Turn right here onto Eaton Street. Follow the “8th Fire” signs deep into the woods on the old, bumpy road until you get to Camp Collier and the lake.
From the north, take 140 south from Winchendon (off Route 12). Watch for blue Heywood Hospital signs. Turn right onto Green Street (the first significant intersection south of Route 12). At the top of the hill look for the wooden Camp Collier sign on the left. Turn here onto Eaton Street. Follow the “8th Fire” signs deep into the woods on the old, bumpy road until you get to Camp Collier and the lake.
If you’re still on Rt. 140 and get to Route 2, you’ve gone too far and the simplest thing to do is to head west on 2, get off at the next exit and follow the directions at the top of the page.
